The Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is built onto the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge is built from local river stone and camouflaged with indigenous vines. It blends in so well into the landscape, that the lodge is invisible from the floor of the crater some 600 metres below.
The rooms are sited along the Crater rim, with their own private balcony ensuring that guests enjoy uninterrupted views over the crater. The dining and bar area feature a wall of windows, overlooking the crater. Sundowners and ‘bush dinners’ are offered.
The Lodge is some 180 kilometres from Arusha. By road the journey takes about 4 hours. Alternatively, there is an airstrip next to the Lodge for charter flights.
