Set within a grove of fig and eponymous elephant pepper trees, this tented camp was refurbished in 2014. Its 8 (4 doubles & 4 twins) new luxury safari tents, each has own private verandah, are larger, brighter and offer more spacious bathrooms (flush toilets and showers). Elephant Pepper Camp’s new spacious Honeymoon / Family Tents each comprise of an ensuite master bedroom and a sitting room, which can be used as a second bedroom for children.
There is a dining tent for meals, with Italian food a camp speciality, as well as bush breakfasts and traditional safari sundowners.
Mara North Conservancy, is a privately managed conservancy in the core of the Masai Mara, and gamedriving in Mara North is restricted to those vehicles belonging to lodges within the conservancy, so Elephant Pepper guests have this outstanding part of the Masai Mara almost to themselves.
Activities include day and evening game drives, guided bush walks (with special children’s walks), and cultural visits to a nearby Maasai community.
