Afro Chic Boutique Retreat is located south of Mombasa on Diani Beach and a short distance from Ukunda Airport. Accommodation consists of 10 individually designed bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms: all the rooms have a balcony and magnificent view to the Indian Ocean except the “Queen of Sheba Room” which overlooks the lush garden and the fish pond.
Each room is equipped with satellite television, DVD player, safe, mini-bar and tea & coffee facilities. Some rooms contain a comfortable sofa-bed that can accommodate a third person. The “Zanzibar Junior Suite” is particularly suitable for families: it has a sofa bed to accommodate plus an additional large single bed.
Various activities can be arranged locally, with specialists in the field including: snorkeling along the coral reef from woodern canoes; diving and taking PADI diving courses; wind and kite surfing; jet skiing; dolphin safari; bird-watching in the nearby mangroves; deep sea fishing (sailfish, marlin, tuna, etc.); and a variety of daily excursions to: Funzi Island, Kisite Marine National Park, Shimba Hills reserve, and the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary. Tennis, squash, gym and spa can be booked at neighboring properties, and there is a championship golf course nearby too.
