Bird Watching

bird-watching
East Africa is one of the richest and more accessible bird watching areas in the world boasting over 1,000 species. With different habitats often close to each other, it’s quite easy to spot over 100 species in one day: near to water there are pink flamingos, hammerkops, iridescent kingfishers, plovers, herons, storks, geese, cranes, jacanas and the African fish eagle. The open savanna plains host some of the largest birds such as the ground hornbill, the tall secretary bird as well as eagles, vultures, and ostriches. Even a short two or three day safari will provide an excellent species count for the keen bird watcher.

There are also opportunities for guided bird-watching in Nairobi.

We can help you choose options for bird-watching safaris, or include bird watching as part of your holiday package.
